Hunting for a BOW!!

Our hunting was very successful!

Of course I forgot to get actual pictures of the bow by its self I did get Mr.Baker to take pictures of it with me. I am getting better by the day!! I am grouping and getting great shots! It's really fun, I highly suggest that everyone out there try archery. Well here are the fruits of our labor!! lol

Definitely not a good picture so I will make sure to get some good pictures! It's a Fred Bear Apprentice Bow. Has a whisker bisket, a tru glo sight, gold tip carbon expidition arrows and a true fire release.

Well Academy Sports opened last friday up in Rogers so Mr. Baker and I had to make a trip up there. Let me be the first to tell you it was worth it!!! They have some really good prices on a lot of things! It's in Mr.Bakers words "A man's wal-mart."

I fell in love with these boots! Neoprene! Scent block! COMFORTABLE!!!!

Mr.Baker! He loved the boots as well but since he already has a different pair of boots we are going to get him these next year.

So I am sure most of you have heard of Marisa Lynch, she is a California girl who is not buying a piece of NEW clothing for a year! She is buying clothes and making them into what she wants. You can see her fabulous works here at her blog. Like Marisa I was going through "a personal creative-funk-crisis" and then I came across her blog. Serious inspiration! So I decided to do something along the same lines. Instead of ONLY buying clothes to refurb I'll also do small amounts of traditional shopping. By small I mean very small lol.(Hunting apparel doesn't count lol)

Now I am not doing this for fame or to be noticed. I'm doing this for fun and so that maybe some one else can be blessed by this and get their own inspiration from it!

So! First my first test subject is a one piece-two piece hmm.... lookie!

I paired my new dress with my brown boots, white shirt and grey undershirt. I grabbed the pink jacket right before we walked out the door because it was chilly!! But it's a perfectly cool day so I'm going to keep it on! I took the skirt of the original dress to make this. I actually took it in quite a bit. There was enough left over material I could have made a second dress, but I cut straps out of the left over material, took this dress in about two inches on each side and about a half an inch seam on the top of the dress.

Babies on the Rize!

That's right, "Rise" but with a Z .

But I mean, I know I can't be the only person who can name at least 10 people who have JUST had a baby or are going to.

My stepSister BH just had her first baby, a beautiful baby boy! Mr.L!

And he totally had a set of lungs! When the nurses made him mad let me tell you he let them know! Now I just found out my lovely cousin in California and her husband are expecting a baby girl! I am SO excited for them!! I am also excited about all the CUTE things I get to buy for christmas!!

Well as some of you know hunting season is coming up and I am almost more excited about that! ...almost... It will be my first year hunting! So September 9th I will be going to Hunters Ed. And pretty much all season I'll be hunting with a bow! We will see about turkey season though, I'll have to consult Mr.Baker first. Who by they way found me a great! pink and camo bow! We are going to be tagging out this year!

Why, you might ask, would I be so excited about hunting? Because I can not stand the taste of processed meats. So we will be getting all of the meat we can off of the very beautiful creatures. There are a few recipes i am very excited to try and a turkey chili I can not wait to make again!!

Seriously though! Last Thanksgiving we were given so much turkey meat it was ridiculous. So in order to keep all that yummy meat from going to waste Turkey Chili was born!

We'll it's time for me to go and have lunch with Mr.Baker!

From a long lost blogger!! haha seriously I haven't been on here in FOREVER. I guess i could start off where I left off...but where was that?? hmm

something with the wedding right?

The invitations turned out beautifully!! I'm sure I've still got some pictures.

And then there's the dress!

I bought a VERY pretty dress from davids bridal that I almost wish I would have worn. I decided to go with my moms dress when my dad sent me a few pictures. So I..we figured we could sell the original dress I was going to wear. (My dad actually talked to me about using moms dress like the day after we bought the other dress.) Well, it only cost $110 to have the dress altered and hemmed.

And yes we are still trying to sale the other dresses we have.

So when the wedding happened let me tell you I pretty much had an over whelming feeling of detest for it. But then I saw our photographers pictures and I can not tell you how happy I was.

I know how most brides say that the wedding day was just a blur, well that is not true for me. I remember everything!But Josh doesn't remember anything on the other hand. Actually he remembers bits and pieces! But I remember it all! Mainly because I was so angry...

It really did turn out pretty well and in hinds sight there was a lot of things I could have and should have done(mainly not procrastinated!).

Anyways...

So wow, a lot has happened! Guess what! I sent out the invites and anyways lets get to the point!

I went to the farmers market this morning after dropping Joshua off at work.

I did a few ring pictures. I'll upload the ones i've got so far. I'm so excited!

So I'm going to take more pictures, upload them and finish filling ya'll in in a lil!!

I am a maker of messes...

But!, I am not the only one!

For example, this is only the second mess I came home to today. And yes ladies that once was a box of Tampons, don't ask how they ended up in chewing proximity, but there you go. I would rather not mention the first mess, I was A LOT more angry about that one lol!

Welcome to my craft room/office! I have officially take over! Mr.Bobby once had a desk in here, but now it mine....at least until I clean everything back up.

My new Frankenbox!!

So we all remember my poor naked frankenbox well he got clothes!! It's very very exciting!! The outfit isn't done yet though lol

Pour Some Sugar On Me

No not powered or granulated sugar... a very sticky sugar mixture designed to remove hair from ones body. Now beware, this post is not for every one!! lol

I'll start easy, here is Abby she tried to help a few times.

Sadly, we didn't not finish the sugaring so it's actually pretty funny when he wears shorts or no shirt.

My review on the sugaring, we either needed it to be thicker or a new recipe. It pulled the dark hairs out, but you could still feel the fuzz. So we are going to have to try again lol
